Safety & setup requirements

A great bounce house party needs four things: a flat spot, a power outlet, a clear path in, and a grown-up keeping an eye on the fun.

  • Space: flat area big enough for the unit’s footprint, clear overhead.
  • Surface: grass is best (we stake); hard surfaces work with sandbags, arranged ahead.
  • Power: a standard household outlet within reach of the setup spot.
  • Supervision: a responsible adult watching whenever the unit is in use.

Space

Every unit’s page lists its exact footprint and the clear space it needs, so check the specs before you book. Beyond the footprint, the area should be flat and free of debris, with nothing overhead. No low branches, clotheslines, or power lines above the setup spot.

Surface & anchoring

Grass is the gold standard. We stake every unit into the ground per the manufacturer’s anchoring specs. That’s what keeps a bounce house planted where it belongs.

Driveways, patios, and indoor spaces can work too. We anchor with sandbags instead of stakes there. Hard-surface setups need to be arranged in advance, so tell us about your surface when you book (there’s a notes field at checkout, or just reach out). One firm rule either way: never remove or loosen stakes, weights, or the blower once we’ve set up.

Power

The blower runs the entire time the unit is in use, so we need a standard household outlet within reach of the setup spot. If power is far away or unreliable, mention it when you book and we’ll figure out the plan together.

Delivery access

Our crew moves the unit from the vehicle to your setup spot, so we need a clear path: gates unlocked and wide enough for equipment, no vehicles in the way, and someone 18 or older on site to show us the spot and sign off.

House rules while you play

  • A responsible adult watches the inflatable at all times it’s in use.
  • Shoes off; no glasses, jewelry, or anything sharp inside.
  • No food, drink, gum, or silly string in the unit.
  • No flips, rough play, climbing the walls, or piling on.
  • Keep similar ages and sizes together, and respect the posted occupancy limits.
  • If winds pick up to sustained 15 mph or a storm approaches: everyone out, blower off, stay clear. (Our full weather rules are on the weather policy page.)

We’ll walk you through all of this at setup. It takes two minutes, and then the kids take over.

These are the highlights; the rental agreement you sign at checkout is the full legal document. Curious how we operate behind the scenes? See our standards & compliance.
